Madelyn and Molly at play

Madelyn and Molly have just started to really "play" together.
Here they are playing tug-a-war with a paper towel roll.

And here's Molly getting even with Madelyn...Madelyn just laughs!!

Time to Workout!

It's getting harder and harder to keep up with Madelyn. We have had to make a gym (out of a box) to let her get her energy out!!
She starts from the time she wakes up...still in her p.j.'s.

She plays all day long...I don't know where she gets all the energy.

She has learned to carry a snack around with her, so she doesn't have to slow down for anything.

She also has mastered the falls...this latest bruise is from her collision with the toilet...it's harder than she thought.

Standing Alone

Madelyn is standing on her own now. We have been going to play groups where she is the youngest, and she is trying so hard to keep up with the rest of the kids.

She decided the curtain needed to be adjusted...she's such a good helper!

Happy Easter!!

She had the most fun pulling out everything...she would pull it out and we would put it back in. No need to spend any money on toys...just give her paper (or ribbon) and a basket!

She is definitely not shy of the camera...in fact, if you haven't noticed, she has a new "camera face"...wrinkled nose!

Pre-Easter Visit to Delaware

Last week Grammy, Madelyn and I went to Delaware to visit Great-Grandpop, Great-Grandmom, Uncle Bob, Aunt Janice, and Drew. Madelyn was as good as she could be. Here's a recap...

(Great-Grandpop feeding Madelyn her lunch.)

(Shopping at the outlets...she loves to shop!)

(Dinner at a local restaurant...you can barely see it, but her hair is sticking straight up!)

(Getting her many hours of exercise and exploring, before the car ride home...she's got her determined face on!)

(Who needs a jungle gym when you have a cousin Drew???)

Thanks Uncle Bob, Aunt Janice and Drew for everything!

Cutie Pie

We took this picture when Grandma and Pawpaw were here...I just thought it was too cute to leave out.

The Hunt is ON...

Well, for most of the kids!! Madelyn attended her first Easter Egg Hunt yesterday. We just put the egg in front of her, and then had to show it to her, then put it in her basket...so, I guess it wasn't much of a "Hunt!" Although, she had a wonderful time playing with the other kids.

I think she had more fun checking out the grass!

It's to your right, Madelyn...look, look!!

Kate finally helped her out.

Grandparent Visit

My parents visited this past week and we had a great time!!
(You might not be able to tell from the pictures...she looks a little like a deer caught in a headlight...but she loved spending time with her grandparents!)

First Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day, Madelyn had two new experiences. She started off her day crawling for the first time!! Mommy's face hurt from smiling in pride at her!!!

Then, after it was safe to go outside, she saw her first snow...and boy is there a lot of snow!!!

Even though we couldn't leave the house, we had a great Valentine's Day!!

Bath Time!!

Madelyn is really enjoying bath time, and has begun to play with toys. She stuck her head in the water for the first time two nights ago. She coughed but it didn't seem to bother her...I think she's going to love to swim!

First "Play Date"

Madelyn and Molly are finally beginning to play together. This is the first time Molly got close enough for Madelyn to "play" with her. (Well, all Madelyn did was pull Molly's hair, but it's a start.) And, last night Madelyn found her way to where Molly was laying and Molly did not jump up, she let Madelyn pet her...pull her hair, again!

First Home Show

Last weekend Susan, Madelyn and I attended the Philadelphia Home Show. It was extremely crowded, but I got a lot of really good ideas!! Scott was not too thrilled about all the info I came home with!!

Happy New Year!!!

We are finally back home, in PA., and life is somewhat normal. Although, I am not sure what "normal" is anymore?? Madelyn is changing by the day, she recently got her first tooth and first cold. Most babies would be a wreck, but she seems to be taking it in stride and not letting it affect her daily routine...sleeping, eating, and playing. The doctor says she is very healthy and still remains in the 90-95%!!

While we were in Texas, Madelyn's Uncle Abel, (that still sounds a little weird to some of us, sorry Abel) took some great pictures!!! Here are just a few...enjoy!

Christmas 2006

We have been having Christmas for weeks, and it has been great!! (I am horrible about taking pictures so these are some that other people have given me.)

We started a week before Christmas at Grammy and Papa Bill's house. This was Madelyn's first taste of the "gift business." As you can see, she had no problem figuring out what it was all about.

Scott enjoyed the toys as much as Madelyn.

Molly did not really enjoy dressing up for the occasion!

Then we headed to Texas!! We had a pretty rough time getting there...we spent the night in Atlanta! But once we arrived, it was worth it! We spent Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family...sorry, there are no pictures.

Christmas morning we opened gifts at Grandma and Paw-Paw's house.

All of Madelyn's uncles could not get enough!!

This is a rare occurance, all of the McBride family!!

Christmas night we spent in Houston with Julia, Jason, Eli, Grammy and Papa Bill. And to top off our two weeks of Christmas, Madelyn and I went to the lake to spend some time with Scott's family.

Grandad enjoyed the time with his two babies!

Finished Floor

We started replacing the floors in the dining room two weekends ago.

About 20 hours and a whole two weekends later, we finished ONE room. Hopefully, now the process will go much faster. We have figured out a few tricks!

Grammy came to help out with Madelyn, and as you can see, Madelyn kept her entertained.
