Looking Outside

Madelyn has found the windows!! She loves looking outside and the dining room windows are the perfect height. The funny thing, is that when the neighbors dog comes out and starts barking, she hits the floor and crawls at warp speed away from the window!! It is quite humorous!!!

She has also learned to "kiss." This is her "kissing" Elmo.

New Tastes

Madelyn is learning to eat new foods (and textures!)

At School

Madelyn and I went to visit Grammy at school last week. Madelyn really enjoyed the students.

They took turns reading to her.

Then during Math class, she helped them with their game. She thought she would show them how to do it.

Then she ran away with the cards!

Box City

Madelyn and I made a little city out of boxes connected by a tunnel. She had fun playing in her two little forts and going back and forth between the two using the tunnel.

Our First Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day in Baltimore and we all had a great time! Madelyn especially enjoyed the fresh air and people. She got exceptionally excited when she saw a couple (who happened to be recent graduates at Texas A&M) with a little white, puff ball of a dog. She made the most noise I have ever heard and got really upset when he left!! It was soooo cute!!

She loved watching the fish and gave me a big smile!

Sneaking a Snack

This morning I found Madelyn helping herself to Cheerios. She had taken the top off and had her hands right in the container.

Fun-Filled Day

Yesterday we had a busy day. We started the day with a trip to a petting zoo. Most of the inhabitants had quite unique personalities!

Later that day Madelyn helped her dad fix her toy.

"Let me show you, Dad."

"OK, just let me do it!"

We ended the night with a calming bath!

Under the Cherry Tree

The cherry tree in our backyard is in bloom. It is so pretty, but now the blossoms are starting to fall. Today Madelyn played in the blooms!

She was a little unsure of what to do at first...

Night at the local Carnival

There is an annual carnival at the park down the street from our house. Last week we took Madelyn for her first glimpse of rides.

She wasn't big enough to ride any of the rides...but she watched them intently!

When she realized she wasn't going to ride any of them, she decided it was time for the walk home...her favorite part!

Playing/Walking around the house

MADELYN HAS STARTED WALKING!!! Everyone get ready!! She is so busy, it is hard to keep track of her.

This is the only picture I could get of her walking...the minute I try to take a picture the gets down and crawls as fast as she can to the camera.

She heard Eli got a tunnel and thought she needed one too.

She did take a break to try and give Molly some tips on good behavior!

Then time to read with Dad...stock options aren't too much fun, but she will take what she can get. She loves to read!!

It was warm enough to get the pool out, but, as you can see, she will grow out of it soon!!

A Day at the Zoo

We spent the day at the Baltimore Zoo. Madelyn loved seeing all the animals!!
