I thought I would just share some of the funny stories about Madelyn that have happened lately.
Well, Madelyn's most recent obsession has been going for walks and accumulating sticks. She loves to bring the sticks home and it is a struggle to get her to leave them outside. Her other love is a Winnie the Pooh video...which she calls "POOH," over and over. The other day she was on her "STICK" kick, but it was really cold outside and Scott and I did not want to go for a walk. So, to compromise with Madelyn, Scott suggested she watch Pooh. Then, to our surprise, Madelyn looked at Scott, stopped saying "STICK, STICK," shrugged her shoulders and said, "I guess." How old is she again??
Madelyn never ceases to amaze me. I have been trying to teach her how to say the alphabet. She sits on my lap and repeats after me, but she doesn't REALLY know her alphabet. A few days ago I had put her in her room for a nap. (She normally plays for a while then goes to sleep.) I went downstairs to clean the kitchen and few minutes later I heard her talking, so I went up the stairs to listen. To my amazement, she was saying her version of the alphabet...A,D, S,T... It was all out of order, but she was trying!! I could only imagine, because the door was shut, that she had her doll on her lap "teaching" her the alphabet. I had to smile and felt proud of my "big girl!"
